This novel revolves around Linna, her father, Omas, and her friend Alice, a white girl. Omas the Indian Chieftain befriends a white family. He goes to visit this family with his daughter, Linna. Then the Iroquois make war against the whites, but Omas decides to warn the white family. Linna, Omas' daughter, accompanies Alice, and her family to escape the wrath of the Natives.
