It begins with The Daily Globe learning that the Green Archer has returned to haunt the castle. Abe Bellamy is a former Chicago resident who bought the castle. Since purchasing the castle, Bellamy has not once spent a single night away from it. The Green Archer's first prey is killed by an arrow in his waistcoat. A second arrow is discovered by Spike Holland, an American reporter for The Daily Globe. A millionaire hires Scotland Yard captain James Lamotte Featherstone to investigate the mysterious return of the Green Archer, Bellamy, and also to keep an eye on his daughter, Valerie who rents the neighboring manor.
